Asleigh (Nation)

And with the rising of the sun, Asleigh, the capital city of the nation with the same name, came alive. A great white wall surrounded beautiful towers and spires, golden in the sunlight, wide smooth roads, and great squares. Even the houses in the High City looked as if carved from white marble, and great inns peppered the squares, and inside gold clinked in pay for food, drink, and games of dice. In the center of the High City was a great palace, sparkling white marble colonnades and towers, with gold spires reaching into the heavens, a large garden surrounding the display of wealth and beauty. Around the walls stood the Lower City, with smaller houses, rougher roads, and small plazas covered with cobblers selling shoes, bakers selling bread and pies, and blacksmiths selling anything from horseshoes to barrel staves.

Structure

King/Queen at the top, directly under a circle of nobles, all with estates in the middle of the capital city. They choose a new ruler if, and only if, the current one has no heirs.

Assets

Extreme wealth. One of the most powerful nations in Aen. Mineral resources and farmland. The only thing it does not have is ocean access, but rivers provide trade for what little it needs.

Agriculture & Industry

Furnaces run day and night in Sugurd, sister-city to the capital of Asleigh. Rich fertile land crosses most of the nation, providing land to grow crops and raise farm animals.

Trade & Transport

All trade comes in through the North, East, and West roads. The South road cuts through the Broken Hills and does not connect Asleigh to any major city. From the North comes minerals from Sugurd, from the West comes trade from Arnoch, a small trade city that lies on the River Erian.
