Aelistria

The world of Aelistria was born from the work of a group of pantheons who filled it with life and magic using the soul of another plane, thus the world has a natural attunment to planar magic and different lifeforms.   Life bloomed and different races and alliances formed, the pantheon deemed the residents of this world as worthy and self sufficient and banished themselves deep within the heart of the world.   Ages later, after magic stabilized and planar magic is nothing but a myth, a group of mages attempted to reach planar magic by combining refined essence of all seven schools of magic.   That ended in a catastrophe, the planar nature of the world opened three portals to different planes introducing new races and technology to the world.   Now, the artifacts imbued with the pure schools of magic are scattered and different parties are actively searching for them.   The world is high fantasy with iron age technology spread around, technology was brought through on of the portals that opened up and the world is slowly learning how to use them, some have even managed to mix magic and technology.
