The current beloved Empress of the Bal Empire, Lavinia is a relatively young entrant in the line of royalty. She is not typically one for politics or military affairs, but to the world outside her mind, she is a skilled tactician and a gifted politician both on the world stage and while interacting with her citizens, able to win leaders to her side and stoke the fires of nationalism in the people.
Even with her status and power, however, she suffers from a feeling of not belonging due to her parentage, a fact she guards with her life. Despite this, she does her best to keep her people happy, and relishes the brief moments of solitude she sometimes comes across.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Lavinia is about average height for a Bal woman. Her skin is fair and physique athletic (thanks to the required regimen for Bal rulers) and she maintains a fair health as best she can, while keeping her weight at a reasonable range.
Body Features
Lavinia appears about the same as any other young Heldian or Bal woman, with two exceptions: Black Wyrmscales that adorn certain areas of her body, betraying her hidden lineage while she is unclothed, and a large permanent scar centered over he breastbone, extending from her collarbone and down to her abdomen.
Apparel & Accessories
No matter what she wears, Lavinia can always be seen with a pair of hanging, spiraling earrings made from a shining, scratch-less metal that she polishes diligently during her downtime, and a precious stone set into the center of the spiral, as blue as the ocean itself. She never parts with these earrings, and has been recorded stating that she would rather die than replace them with the traditional jewelry of Bal rulers.

Lavinia typically prefers to be seen as and addressed as a woman at all times, though how she presents herself in terms of attire may fluctuate to a more androgynous presentations depending solely on her desires in the moment
Sexuality
Having only ever expressed any sort of romantic feelings for the late Bal Emperor, Lavinia now expresses a lack of any such interest in anyone else. She is on record stating that she is Asexual and Aromantic, though there are those who would still try her hand in a bid for power.
Education
Before its untimely collapse and occupation by the Balack Empire, the Heldian Empire was home to the Heldian University, where Lavinia studied. Entry to the school was coveted by those wishing to pursue careers in the Arts and Sciences, especially Musical and Astronomical fields. At the time of it's closure, Lavinia was studying to be a Court Musician to complement her duties as a Maiden of the Court, and had attended the school for about 2 years
Employment
Originally a Maiden of the Heldian Court, Lavinia retained her position through the annexation of the Heldian Empire, becoming a handmaiden for the Bal Emperor. Overtime she eventually grew close with him and, as his final order upon his deathbed, was named the next Bal Empress against her wishes. She maintains her position to this day to honor him and his legacy, and to end the conquest that cost him his life.

Motivation
The Bal Empire has always been a force of conquest and conflict in the world, and have garnered for themselves the ire of many nations. Lavinia merely wishes to maintain the peace of the people as it currently stands, while taking the necessary steps to bring an end to the conquest, as impossible as it may seem.
Savvies & Ineptitudes
When it comes to putting on performances for long periods of time to satisfy her royal duties, Lavinia could be considered a master of the craft. She makes a point to only know as much as she needs to in order to keep up the reputation of her Empire and her position of power, showing great skill in political maneuvering and strategy, as well as battlefield tactics and traditional Bal methods of conquest.
Behind the royal mask, however, she can be a bit of a shut-in. Her staff has noted that when not required to retain her stature as Empress, she become far more distant and closed off to those who are supposed to be royal confidants and aides, becoming hardly able to look them in the eye, let alone speak to them. As such, those who try to move closer to her never know as much as the common citizen does about Her Majesty. It has also been noted that she shows genuine happiness and joy when it comes to music - be it studying theory or watching performers online and in her courtroom; She has even requested a number of instruments for herself, all of which have been disapproved by her advisors on the grounds that they would distract her from her duties.

Aside from a worrying addiction to sweets and confectioneries, Empress Lavinia often succumbs to her personal vice of weaseling her way out of important duties in order to sleep or relax in her chambers

As the head and face of the Balack Empire both on the world stage and in the eyes of her citizens, Lavinia keeps as perfectly clean and well-dressed as she possibly can; a feat only made possible with the help of her royal retinue and various staff members that serve her every minuscule need. However, in the privacy of her bedchambers, she tend to forego maintaining her spotless appearance for whatever comforts her the most in the moment, much to the chagrin of her maids and advisors.

During her typical political duties, Lavinia exudes a certain certain firmness and confidence in her abilities. One would be forgiven for mistaking her cold gaze for something malicious. Her posture tends to remain solid and closed, like an impenetrable defense: arms close to her sides of crossed under her chest, legs equally reigned in, always keeping to herself physically. Even her strides, while confident, remains steady and reigned in; her steps following an unflinching line towards her destination, one foot almost directly in front of the other.
When her mask is removed, however, she allows herself a little more freedom of movement, but still remains modest and closed-off physically in the presence of others.
Speech
Since they represent the height of Bal education, A Bal ruler must conform to a certain type of speech, free from obscenities, slang and other inappropriate additions, and must not be overly-insulting when not necessary. Their diction must be at a level acceptable for a political figurehead, it must be consistently clear and concise, well-timed, and well-structured. Lavinia does not hit all of these marks, but she tries.
Her speech is concise and direct at all times, as she only likes to use metaphors when she cannot express an idea in another way readily. She can sometimes be slow to respond when spoken to, and her sentences are not always well-formatted, as her brain tends to move faster than her mouth when she is engaged in something, and is prone to rambling as a result.
