As a patron, Gormal never makes their deals with their future warlocks directly, but with their parents instead. Do you know the stories of parents who sell their children to the fey? Gormal is the fey in those stories, and those children become their warlocks.
Gormal sees their warlocks as their children, and bestows upon the Pact of the Chain, and with that, a companion familiar to never leave the warlocks' side.
What they ask in return, what purpose they wish their warlocks to serve, and under which criteria they choose their warlocks are questions that have yet to receive concise answers.
Any warlock of Gormal's has the chance to become the Twilight Harbinger.
