Personal history
Born a half-orc after his mother (Gretchen) made a classic college mistake of shagging an orc (Uruk the Powerful). Unbeknownst to her, he was the leader of a tribe of Feegle Orcs. She allowed Duermal to live with his father for until he was 9 but, after seeing how ill-fitted the leader was at raising children (on top of Duermal being shunned for his small stature and lack of strength) she took him back to Cantirith.
Duermal was raised then with his half-sister (Ravenia). He discovered a love of learning and music and dedicated his life to becoming a bard. Originally, he and Ravenia were going to be a traveling duo, but Duermal learned of a secret stash of ancient tomes. Fearing anyone would discover his secret, Duermal became a traveling bard...under the motive that he wished chronicle the tales of adventurers for future historians. Keeping to himself that he also wished to be protected from any and all who wish to discover the secret tomes (No idea who would be after that, but he wished to be safe rather than sorry).
He joined Ebin Kindfeather because he believed Ebin and his compatriots (Brotekii and Alize) would fulfill all his wishes.
Now, they are all on a quest to save the world
