Thirty-two year old Alicia Rivera is the lead developer of the Adventure Forest project at the Enterprise Corporation. While Ms. Rivera had a few independent games under her belt, Adventure Forest was an unexpected breakout hit for the company. Enterprise Corporation scrambled to invest in servers and deals with mobile networks when tens of millions of people began playing the game within a week of launch.
Ms. Rivera soon became the face of the game by releasing tutorial videos whenever new features were introduced. Her avatar, Stormflower, achieved similar notoriety. Despite her visibility, however, Ms. Rivera maintained a fairly quiet existence, preferring to spend her spare time with her husband and their three pet dogs.

Personal history

Alicia Rivera (previously Jones) was born to a middle-class Connecticut family. She was a middle child with two older brothers and one younger sister. She was close to their pet dog Max, who the family rescued from a local shelter.
Alicia became interested in computer programming in middle school, teaching herself how to code at the local library. This interest was closely connected to a passion for games; her first program was a pinball game. She attended community college to pursue this passion, receiving her degree in computer science. She located a job in tech support soon after graduation, but created small independent games on the side. Eventually one of these games allowed her to get her foot in the door at Enterprise Corporation, a moderately successful independent game publisher.
Shortly afterward she married her husband Alex Rivera, whom she had been dating off and on since high school. They moved into a small fixer-upper together, renovating it after work together. Eventually they adopted three dogs from a no-kill shelter.
For Alicia, not much changed after the breakout success of Adventure Forest other than her paycheck. Though she eagerly provided support for her new fans, she was determined to keep her private and professional lives separate. For the most part her fans have respected her choice, though this may also be due to the fact that she has kept her exact address secret.
Then, two weeks ago, she vanished without a trace.
