Humans - Faction: Tsaesci Consortium

Roughly 60% of the Tsaesci Empire is human. While various minority clans exist the majority of these humans come from two major clans the Shou and the T'u Lung.

Shou

Before the founding of this iteration of this dynasty of the empire the Shou had been at war since it broke away from T'u Lung for 300 years! The Shou is the might of the plains, the bastion of truth and freedom, the chosen arm of the celestial bureaucracy on Kara-Tur. The Shou can be found either in cities/settlements or nomadic horses riders (and wagons) throughout the great planes of the Shou lands. The cities consists of the majority of the law, bureaucracy, trade and religious bodies of their civilization. The nomads consider riding a horse as a basic marker of social status. Doing anything else is considered weak. Their bond with horses is such that they are said to be born, fight, and die in a saddle.

T'u Lung

The Clan of T'u Lung live in a region of Kara-Tur with the same name. They are largely influenced by their relationship with the neighboring Mountain Dwarves. This is a place of learning, culture and government, with a proud history that chronicles nearly three thousand years, spanning the rise and fall of eight great Dynasties and over seventy emperors. With its extensive history and stable governance, the Empire exerts a mighty influence over its neighbors. T'u Lung is a land of many complexities; a land wise in the ways of the world and its sophistications. Society here is shaped by it's caste system. At the highest level is the Akaviri caste. The Akaviri caste were the nobles of T'u Lung and responsible for the administration of the provinces and the nation. They are organized by their families. Beneath the Akaviri caste is the clergy, sons of peasants, widows, and so on. The majority of the population was made up of the peasants, who were divided into several groups. Craftsmen had variable status depending on their craft, their skill, and their renown. Merchants, including moneylenders were found at this level, though they might have some control over the other members of the peasant class economically. The lowest of the peasant class were the entertainers, including actors, singers, and musicians.
