ADVENTURE BRUNCH #35 -- APRIL 12, 2020

General Summary

The party disbanded after the leyline adventure; Zura and Jingles headed back towards the Tower with Glonnir. On the way, they noticed there were still undead creatures which now were headed towards the Tower as well. The mist was dispersing though. Back out of the woods, they visited Ima Fouchay and Jingles gave her the (23) skulls as promised. She warned of more undead troubles, as the number reported was much larger than she had feared. Everyone gathered at the Tower and braced themselves for a long night of fighting back the coming horde of undead.   It was worse than anyone had feared, though Zura, Jingles, Shakkax, and Curace successfully protected everyone that night. They knew help was needed, so the next day Ima Fouchay left for Veriscali to ask the House of Dust for help. No help came, however, because the undead which had fallen in the river when the Tower was defended the night before, had washed downstream and the House of Dust were busy dealing with them.   Zura hid everyone in the Tower, and she and Jingles went to scout the source of the undead horde. They were led by Glonnir to a portal and ended up deeper in the forest. When they reached a fork in the road, to the left they encountered green mist which made everything--including Jingles at one point--fall asleep. To the right, they found a cave with Infernal whisperings coming from it, and a fountain of darkness which undead creatures slowly crawled out of. They had found the source!   Zura attempted to destroy the darkness--and succeeded, but in so doing revealed a large portal to a larger hoard of undead of all kinds. She, Jingles, and Glonnir raced back to the Tower to report on their discoveries and to come up with a better plan...
