ADVENTURE BRUNCH #22 -- JUNE 29, 2019
General Summary
The party of Aslam, Jingles (and Meow), Pascal the Red, and Zura went out into the wilderness (aka "the green place") around Hjerm, past Lorium, to hunt wolves. Facing torrential downpours--and being unprepared for the rain--the party took longer than expected to reach their destination. They stumbled upon and faced off against a curious and aggressive creature. They managed to "defeat" it but it seemed to regenerate.
Meanwhile, the sounds and the scent of blood attracted a pack of wolves (target finally acquired!) that attacked the party, and specifically Zura's new erdlu mount. At the desperately yelling commands of Zura ("LISTEN TO MOMMY!"), the erdlu--being well-trained and a little faster--lead the wolves in a Road Runner vs Wile E Coyote scene while Jingles picked them off with his longbow while the rest of the party attempted to "kill" the creature for a second time.
When all the wolves were finally dead, the creature revived AGAIN and the battle continued until Meow was mortally wounded and thought dead. Zura was KTFO and about to be eaten when Pascal the Red saved the day with some healing magic and revived both her and Meow. The party, not knowing how to stop the creature permanently, fled to adventure another day. The creature made a snack of the wolves that the party had just killed instead of giving chase.
No warrant to be collected, the party walked away empty handed but for their lives and 75 exp each.
