ADVENTURE BRUNCH #18 -- APRIL 13, 2019

General Summary

The party of Broc, Ri, Karoner, and later Fujimotosama met last session. They did a fair amount of interactions with towns folk, maintenance, shopping, & recruiting for their respective households. Several days later they decided to go back to East UR Watch to enter the "tomb" they had previously cleared and where they saved Myev. There were various chests, and contraptions they could not access in the previous session, and they were guiding Fujimotosan. They Faced:

• 4x Mechanical Spiders
• 2x Mechanical Spheres
• 1x Mechanical Centurion
  

At the end lever-puzzle gate, while facing the Mechanical Centurion, they found it so challenging they made a tactical retreat outside of the "tomb" to regroup. They came back in after a short rest, stealthed successfully around the Mechanical Centurion to the inner "treasure room,” and discovered a cache of ancient aetherium cogs. Instead of sneaking past the Mechanical Centurion again with their loot’ they attacked it—much to their detriment. Ri, Karoner, and Fujimotosama ended up running away again, but Broc’ who was invisible, decided to go back and confiscate some of the aetherium cogs while the others ran. Fujimotosama manage to escape. Ri and Karoner stood their ground in the main chamber room and started to fight the Mechanical Centurion again. The Mechanical Centurion managed to collapse the balcony above them to effectively trap Fujimotosama outside the tomb, but Ri and Karoner in the same chamber with it, and Broc a chamber away. It took Broc 5 turns to clear the rubble to get to Ri and Karoner.

When Broc finally dug his way into the room, he found Karoner dead under the ceiling rubble, and Ri altered into the form of a Mechanical Spheres on patrol duty as camoflouge. They attacked the Mechanical Centurion which resulted in them getting knocked the fuck out but Broc as a half orc popped up at 1hp, ate a healing bon bon, and gave Ri a superior healing potion. The Mechanical Centurion saw they were alive and attacked again. Ri crossed too close to the path of the Mechanical Centurion, giving it an opportunity attack which resulted in her death. Brock played dead before trying to haul some stones away from the entrance again, but the Centurion noticed and attacked again. An enraged Broc went toe to mechanical foot with the Mechanical Centurion and after Broc was knocked the fuck out again the Mechanical Centurion kept hitting Broc until all that was left was a pool of green and red half orc viscera.
