Adua

From the primordial chaos of the worlds creation the beings known as Spirits were born. Living personifications of the elements and concepts that formed the world itself they formed the world as they saw fit, in time creating the mortal races as their pets, slaves, and playthings.   In time the mortals grew to resent their masters' cruelty and rebelled, forming a powerful alliance to throw off the Spirits' yolk. Bolstered by divine assistance and aided by a betrayal from within the Spirits' own ranks the alliance known as The Accord managed to win a hard fought victory and throw down their masters.   In the centuries that followed the mortal races embraced the world as their own, enjoying an age of exploration and freedom that would never have been dreamed of thousands of years ago.   It is a world of swashbuckling adventure and exploration, powerful magic, and hidden histories as the mortal races clamber to define themselves and understand their place in the world. All the while the Spirits remain, and their interactions with the mortals they created define and shape the future of all things that would call Adua home.
