Eskorian

Eskorians are the main inhabitants of Eskor. They are the most numerous and most prosperous ethnicity in Eskor, some say that many have colonized other continents as well.

History

Ancient History

It is unknown when people first arrived at the continent of Eskor. Myths speak of a thriving island culture that was displaced by a volcanic explosion, these people took primitive boats across an ocean. Most died, but some made it to Eskor. At their arrival, these people found empty cities that were left by its previous inhabitants, the First People. Some say that these people were welcomed by the First People which in turn brutally slaughtered them or infected them with their deadly diseases. None of this has been proven and historians still argue about this in this very day.

Early Days

After populating the entire continent of Eskor, Eskorians spread far across Adellon throughout the millennia that followed.
Culture

Traditions

Eskorian traditions align with loyalty, honor, piousness and intellectualism.

Loyalty

Eskorians traditionally abhor disloyal people. The laws of Eskorian kingdom usually include strong contracts and bonds to a leader. Eskorians usually build strong kingdoms because of this.

Honor

Honorable knights and Paladins are very popular in Eskorian folklore. Dying honorably or giving your enemy an honorable death has always been a strong part of the culture. Dishonorable people are usually cast away or killed.

Piousness

Religion plays a great role in Eskorian culture. Most people are expected to worship at least one god. Clerics and priests are held in high regard and usually well protected.

Intellectualism

The study of the Arcane, History and Archaeology has always been a cornerstone to Eskorian culture. Many men and women devote their life to intellectual pursuits. Governments and wealthy aristocrats have been known to sponsor researchers just to learn about a specific topic.
