Cloak of the Celestial

A slightly dirty white cloak with a feather pattern on it and the words “For your sacrifice” in Celestial. It appears to be a +1 holy symbol that prefers lawful good clerics, and that is its primary function. However, the first time the wearer makes a selfless sacrifice while wearing the cloak, they gain white wings and the ability to fly for 1 minute, as well as returning the wearer to full health if and only if they were within 5 HP of passing out/dying. After this first use, the wearer can voluntarily give something valuable up in order to gain power or abilities, but only when those powers will be used for completely selfless acts. However, the player will still gain white wings and the ability to fly for 1 minute. Can only be used once every five days. Requires attunement. Will not attune to evil or neutral characters, and prefers lawful good due to its celestial origins. It also prefers clerics. Each Cloak of the Celestial has the same primary function, which is revealed by an identify spell, but every one has a different secondary function, which can only be revealed when it is activated. This is because these cloaks are said to be have been made by celestial beings and given as gifts to individuals, so every one of them was specialized for that individual. However, the cloaks last a very long time, so they outlive their initial wearers and bond to new ones. It is also conscientious, so when the bearer of this item contemplates or undertakes a malevolent act, the item enhances pangs of conscience. It seems to be well made, but every time its secondary function is used it becomes more frayed, implying that if it is used too often it will be destroyed.

Manufacturing process

A celestial must either cut the cloth and sow the cloak itself or, if it does not have hands, transmute it from those materials.
