However, approaching these mountains is a perilous endeavor, for the land itself seems to rise against intruders. Elemental forces roam the area, unleashed guardians who mercilessly attack any who dare to trespass, ensuring that only the most determined and worthy souls can set foot within. Legends whisper of divine intervention, attributing the isolation of the mountains to the displeasure of nature gods such as Mielikki, Silvanus, Auril, and Chauntea. They, appalled by the Inquisition's disregard for nature, supposedly severed the connection to all but the most deserving, deeming the Blighted Peaks a sacred sanctuary, hidden and preserved for the betterment of humanity.
