EmberWorth

EmberWorth is the second major city to be built on the planet, originally built for the purpose of refining and manufacturing items made out of the Ember and other things in the MeldMine. It grew to become a large city, and when the Kingdoms Division Act was introduced, it also served as a fantastic capital for the MechaGods Kingdom. Over all, it is a very interesting city which shifted through many roles throughout its history. It is also noted to be the most efficient yet polluted city on Acciphere, due to the number of factory plants present in the city. It's also admired for its amazingly planned layout, which makes it easy even for a stranger to find his way through the city.

Demographics

The population of the city is spread across different arrondissements that divide the city into multiple small pieces. The arrondissements sometimes contain ethnic groups and sometimes they separate the important people from the measly artisans and poor villagers.

Government

The city is ruled by the Tersung family throughout the ages, and there is also a legislative council that keeps the laws enforced and in order.

Defences

The city of EmberWorth has thick and tall walls along with a moat enclosing the city, with the important arrondissements being wrapped in yet another layer of defences. The walls are packed with weaponry like cannons and archers who will shoot down anything they find dangerous. There are four gates in each cardinal direction, two of them leading into the Barren Lands and two of them leading them into the Dead Forest. There are also eight towers with each pair guarding one gate.

Industry & Trade

There's two things EmberWorth is very famous for: its vast trade market for metal parts and its sky factories. The industry of this city thrives on the refining of the metals it gets from the MeldMine, which is then shipped to the LavaNord Kingdom to make fine weapons. They mostly import metals from the MeldMine but also import wood from nearby villages to make and fix their dirigibles. The people in EmberWorth also run some other small businesses from the side such as toy-making, restaurants, hotels, inns, banks, etc.

Infrastructure

The types of infrastructure as vast in this city: everything from dense, multilayered subway systems to huge sewer systems, sky factories and huge palaces are present. There are two airports and an external seaport as well: one airport is used for the common people while the other is used for only the important people arrondissement. The seaports are barely used for passenger travel, and even if they did, they would only travel back and forth the LavaNord Kingdom and the MechaGods Kingdom.

Guilds and Factions

Before the Second Robot War there used to exist a lot of secret societies in EmberWorth, with their main purpose being to take over the King and stop sending supplies to the main city of Banswick. Although there were many societies, there were very few who put actions into words. A famous example is of Lafayette Samuel Deering of The Revolution, who took down the cargo ships going to Banswick and handed them over to the trade markets, which greatly benefitted the poor people.

Tourism

Lots of people visit EmberWorth as tourists since it is a very popular destination to travel. People are particularly eager to visit amazing places in EmberWorth like the Sky Factories, the Royal Palace and dirigibles. But EmberWorth doesn't fall short of amazing restaurants, either. EmberWorth is known to have a lot of amazing restaurants, hotels and some resorts with particularly nice food, accommodation. But the main tourist seasons are Amaosat and Fernadel because the royal palace is open to tourists and other people to see and explore. People report seeing new things every year the palace is opened to visitors. The mysterious moving alleys of the city leads to people discovering newer back-alleys and new areas that weren't there before. This is why there is no actual map of EmberWorth.

Architecture

The architecture of EmberWorth is quite peculiar; you can observe the city was heavily designed with a steampunk theme in mind, along with clever and ingenious features. The Royal Palace, on the other hand, gives out a Gothic feel reminiscent of earth. Contraptions are openly showed to enhance the design features of the particular building. But this makes the city look dull and unforgiving, due to the earthly tones used for most of the buildings. This is good in a way that it makes the vibrant Royal Palace stand out, but it makes the city overall feel monotonous and dull, though the citizens are far from it.

Geography

[ltr]The terrain is situated on a plain, fertile land which serves as a basis for the city. The Ardelus lakes are a little far from the city, but it's only some distance away. The Garfaxin Forest is located just a couple of miles away from the walls of the city, so the city also has an abundant supply of wood.[/ltr]
