Desert Kingdom

The Desert Kingdom is one of the Kingdoms on Acciphere. It is very well known for being rich in natural resources and its development as a whole. As the name suggests, most of the Kingdom’s territory is made up of deserts. The Desert Kingdom is famous for its oases, which are popular tourist attractions.

Culture

The Desert Kingdom has a unique culture of its own. Most of its territory being desert, nomads are common. There are about 10 different tribes of nomads in the Desert Kingdom. It has a rich heritage, and ruins of ancient cities can be found everywhere. The Desert Kingdom is the source of the ancient religion Hadsfif, which is now no longer followed by anyone, most people now being atheists or Sutiratirs. The religion was the source of Hadsf, a language native to the region. It is the most developed Kingdom on Acciphere.

Assets

The Desert Kingdom is located on the Filt Peninsula (see territories below for more information). Most of the land is desert. The Desert Kingdom is highly rich in minerals, precious metals and other natural resources like Accipheran petroleum, especially near the Desertian Mountain Ranges. The Desert Kingdom is the highest source of Adamnite Gold and Asil Jade. It also has high iron and gold reserves.

History

The Desert Kingdom has a long history. Initially, the Desert Kingdom also included the South Water Kingdom as part of its territories, until it gained independence in 930 KE. It was then known as Mihopklin, meaning “land of prosperity” in Hadsf. After it gained independence, both Kingdoms have fought over the rights for Sertian Bay. The first monarch of the region was King Hok. Queen Shana was the first to introduce the elections system in the Desert Kingdom. King Filan was killed by an earthquake in Generoasis in 973 KE, and remains the only monarch in the Desert Kingdom to not die of natural causes.

Demography and Population

The Desert Kingdom has a total population of about 50 million people. The population mostly lives in the cities, like Generoasis and Kilgonat. The rest of the population lives near oases. The vast desert is left unhabited.

Territories

The Desert Kingdom is situated to the southwest of the MechaGods Kingdom, and it covers most of the Filt Peninsula. The Desert Kingdom is divided into seven provinces: Olip (the southernmost province), Workil (the province with the most oases), Generoasis (the province containing the city Generoasis), Johah, Miglin , Hond (the most populous province containing the city Kilgonat) and Platesil (the only province with a semi-arid forest).

Military

The Desert Kingdom Military is divided into five branches: The Desert Kingdom Armed Forces, the Desert Kingdom Naval Forces, the Desert Kingdom Air Forces, the Desert Kingdom Secret Service Forces and the Desert Kingdom Tactics and Strategy Division. The headquarters of all branches except the Desert Kingdom Armed Forces is at the military base of Vivil. The Desert Kingdom Armed Forces are headquartered at Generoasis. The king is the supreme general of the military, and each branch is headed by a general.

Technological Level

The Desert Kingdom is by far the most technologically advanced kingdom on Acciphere, and no city better demonstrates this fact than its capital, Generoasis. The Desert Kingdom is reasonably developed.

Foreign Relations

The Desert Kingdom is friendly with most of the other kingdoms, except the South Water Kingdom. This is because both the Kingdoms claim full rights to the Sertian Bay.

Agriculture & Industry

The Desert Kingdom has many oases and two seasonal rivers: Riugh and Nomim. The rivers are located near the cities Generoasis and Kilgonat respectively. Agriculture is practiced near these seasonal rivers, mostly consisting of seasonal crops. Agriculture is also practiced on a more permanent scale near oases. The Desert Kingdom is known for its mining industry, having large deposits of natural resources. It is also known, to a lesser extent, for its spacecraft industry, mainly at Generoasis.

Trade & Transport

The Desert Kingdom trades its natural resources for other products. All forms of transport are well developed in the Kingdom, which makes trading easy. The main import is food. The main export is natural resources.

Education

Most people within the Desert Kingdom are well educated. This is due in part to the Mandatory Education Act, which makes it compulsory for parents to send their children for schooling. The average literacy rate of the Kingdom is around 98.7%.

Infrastructure

The Desert Kingdom is highly prone to earthquakes, especially around the city of Generoasis. Most buildings are earthquake-resistant. There are well developed transport facilities. The general infrastructure of the Desert Kingdom is highly useful and well constructed.

Like the dunes in the desert, we change to suit the world around us.
