Clam Shell Carriage

The most stylish way for a king to get around.
The carriage is made out of a giant clamshell that had been hallowed out. The shell is sealed shut to make it so that the clam's top doesn't open up. A door is then carved out of the shell with a widow. A widow is also carved on the opposite side of the door. An axel is at the front of the clam. The axel can then be connected to the kelpies that drive the carriage. Above the axel is a seat for the driver to steer. The driver's seat has a wooden plank to place over the tail of the driver. This is so the driver doesn't float away while working. On the back of the carriage is a hand bar so the "foot" man can hold onto while driving. This is normally a part of the carriage that is for very wealthy mer.   On the inside of the carriage are two bench-like seats that face each other. These seats are on the back and front of the carriage. There are wooden planks that can be pulled down over the passengers' tails. That how they don't float up and hurt their heads. The seats are soft but can be uncomfortable if seated for too long. Some carriages also have small tables in them, so the passengers can eat some snacks.
