The Lucent Enclave

Purpose / Function

The Lucent Enclave is the holy site for the followers of the god Rhaldros, a personification of the Crystal Sun. The temple serves as the epicenter of Rhaldros's worship. It's here that new clerics and missionaries receive their tutelage. It also functions as a shelter for the homeless, as one of the tenets of Rhaldros worship is to give aid to those who have nothing.

Architecture

The Lucent Enclave is unique for how it was created. It was carved out of a massive above-ground crystal quartz growth. As it currently stands, it is a massive pentagonal temple surrounded by five spiralling minarets that stand about a hundred and twenty feet tall. The crystalline walls gleam brightly during the day- so much so that the Enclave's priest request that visitors wear eye protection so they aren't blinded by the light.
Within the Lucent Enclave are a number of facilities: gardens to grow food, dormitories for the clergy, a vast library, and other necessities for the physical and spiritual wellbeing of the worshippers. The most important area, however, is the central courtyard where the clergy gather every morning at sunbare.

History

The Lucent Enclave's construction began when the First Oracle found an above-ground quartz formation the size of a mountain. Seeing this as a sign from Rhaldros, the Oracle devoted their life to carving a temple to Rhaldros from the giant crystal. When the First Oracle and his pupils completed the titanic undertaking, scriptures say that the First Oracle ascended to a higher plane of being, leaving his students to run the temple and spread the word of Rhaldros.
Since then, the temple has stood as a tribute to the glory of Rhaldos and has seen the coming and passing of numerous Oracles who dutifully served the god of the Crystal Sun.
