Dun Agra

The Dwarfs have a democratic system called the chamber of elders. One member of each house (usually the oldest) has a seat in the chamber and one vote. They all vote for a king. The King is the only one who is allowed to control the army and he can veto any motion in the chamber but he only has one vote.   Most of the dwarven army protects the cities from the underdark.   Dwarfs live in a cast system. They are born into their walk of life and often take pride in doing their assigned job to perfection. If one does an exellent job you can move up a cast and if you do very poorly out get moved down.   Slavery is allowed but only criminals are turned into slaves. The child of a slave in placed in one of the lower casts but are free.     Fashion: The dwarfs of Dun Agra tend to wear thick and bulky clothes. They often incorperate various metals and even stones into their outfits. They prefer blocky shapes with hard edges.  They often have an excessive amount of jewlery in all kinds of metals. Prefered colors are grey, brown, gold and silver.
