While she holds no committee postings or military commands, this is purely a matter of preference- Hira is easily one of the most influential women in the Commonwealth. Along with being so off-puttingly virtuous the Ideologists semi-officially use her as the standard to judge offending Janissaries against, she easily the most accomplished political technologist on the continent, being directly responsibly for at least twelve (variably bloodless) coups and revolutions in strategically relevant areas. While the Commonwealth frowns on personal propaganda as philosophically retrograde and politically unwise, her secondary role as an extraordinary auditor sent to ‘rectify’ troublesome or corrupt officials has given her something of a folk reputation as well (which her allies in Public Safety have seen little need to repress). Given her very precise Alignment and talent with basic applied metaphysics, it’s only her own personal intervention that’s kept some of the more thoroughly domesticated churches from declaring her a blessed or holy.
Personally, she’s very possibly the only person to take the teachings on dispassion and non-attachment entirely seriously, leaving her untroubled by the fact that friendships are hard to maintain when you consider it unjustifiable to get to the cofeehouse on time instead of making sure every beggar you pass is properly taken care of. The closest thing she has to friends are political allies and coworkers, who do find that behind the agreeably kind persona there are a lot of truly bleak jokes.

General Physical Condition

Hira has striking features-all sharp lines and hard edges, long limbed and precise, with the build of a past ascetic. Unless taking care to comfort some unfourtunate, her bearing and movements are as sharp and efficient as might be expected. For someone incapable of anything resembling punctuality for social occasions, she has an impressively quick pace.

Apparel & Accessories

While not serving in some covert capacity, Hira unfailingly wears the expected uniform of a Janissary-light grey uniform and robe and red fez. While the precise one doesn't seem overly important, she also does take care to always have a pocket watch or other time keeper on her.

Personal history

While the Enderun schools that educate and indoctrinate each generation of the Commonwealth's slave-rulers accept volunteers from across the provinces with sufficiently impressive examination results at every step, the core of each class is inevitably drawn form the orphanages of the great cities. As the ideal of the type, it only stands to reason that Hira was one such, plucked from her bed at the age of eight with her most selfless and impressive peers and into the dispassionate crucible that shapes the future governing class.
Taking to the heady mix of philosophy and science like a fish to water, young Hira impressed her tutors and grew to be something of a star pupil, graduating through the standard curriculum with flying colors and, at 16, being accepted to the prestigious Topkapi Academy-then, as now, the heart of the political and administrative sciences in the Commonwealth. Showing her true talents for applying them to practical problems, by the time she went on rotation to the Academy in Bulasil for training in metaphysics, it was universally agreed she had a bright future ahead of her.
That sojourn being something of a failure (or at least, as she tells it she mostly just volunteered to serve as subject for her peers experiments, given her own lack of talent for the subject matter), on graduation she served with distinction as a 'diplomat', given leave to put her theories on engineered revolution into practice as a way of permanently neutering the troublesome Mircean Voivodes. It took most of a decade, and at points took on the character of an exile, but at long last the mountain fiefdoms have been transformed from a painful check on western expansion to a protectorate undergoing closely managed social revolution, already marked for future integration. Since then, she has spent the last several years auditing corrupt and ideologically dangerous governors and officials in the southern provinces, engineering whatever coups or intrigues are necessary to remove potential rebels without undue disturbance of the peace. Most recently, she served on the diplomatic staff of the embassy to Gallea, and is generally assumed to have engineered the ascension of the current clique of Directors.
After a short rest in Topkapi, she has now been assigned to 'analyze the situation' in Abhari.

A sincere and devoted servant of the Commonwealth, she has no children or lovers and has never taken any effort to see if her parents left behind other siblings.

Social Aptitude

A natural spy, Hira is exceedingly good at empathizing with those she's talking to, establishing trust, as well as allowing them to come up with the right ideas without realizing they're being led.

Hobbies & Pets

Having taken the Academies admonishments about wasted time to heart, Hira's relaxations generally amount to ways to keep her mind sharp or provide some contribution to the Commonwealth's pool of knowledge. Left to her own devices, she writes essays (with all the rhetorical flair of after-action reports). With a few peers, she loves discussing strategy in hypothetical and counterfactual, or simply desperately trying to keep up to date on all the latest scholarship.
Left alone in a foreign city, she inevitably spends what time isn't claimed by principle in festivals and performances, doing her best to record stories and folkways for posterity-or, better, for analysis and reform into suitable mediums for the ideals of the Commonwealth.
