The Scar
The Scar is a wasteland close to the northwestern edge of Abaddon.
This wasteland is the the nexus of an eternal storm that never ends giving birth to the name of the country situated here, The Maelstrom.
Geography
The scar is formed around what could almost be called a massive crater, with parts of the ground being very fertile giving birth to majestic and weirdly shaped trees and other plants. But due to the harsh winds and weather of the Scar not many forests exist in this wasteland, and those that do are formed by massive trees strong enough to stand against the winds.
Fauna & Flora
The plants that live in this wasteland are either to big and strong to care about the almost constant winds coming from the center of the valley, or small enough to escape the brunt of the forces at play here.
The same goes for the wild animals, most of the bigger ones are sturdy and tough, while the smaller animals are doing fine.
Natural Resources
Many rare material may be found here, ripped from the ground by the unnatural forces of the storms.
History
The nexus of a former cataclysmic event that formed this and the surrounding area, what the event was is ancient and forgotten history. Many believe that a cabal of powerful magic users tried to combine the element of light and dark here, but something must have gone wrong.
