Merfolk

The merfolk is a mysterious people to most of the inhabitants living on Abaddon, since they are unable to walk on land thanks to their lack of legs they mostly in cities and villages under water were most of the other races can not live. The only people to interact with them on a regular basis are the seafarers and traders braving the sea to seek these mystical beings and trade for their rare corals and other material that can be found on the ocean floor.

Basic Information

Anatomy

The easiest way to know if you are meeting a merfolk is to see if they instead of legs have a fishtail instead. This is one of the classifications that all merfolk share. All of them also have gills to help them breath underwater, tho they are also able to breath outside of the ocean.

Biological Traits

Most of the population of merfolk are born with green or blue hair that when they get older may change into something else, this signifies that they are not pure-blooded, if a merfolk and a human were to create a child for example the child would most likely look like any other merfolk until growing into puberty were the hair and eye-colour would start to take on a new shade of colour more reminiscent of the other parent.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

Most of the population live in cities and villages on the ocean floor, there are a few examples thou where people of other races may coexist with these beings. These places being the Ocean Spheres, there are three in total. The magic inside these spheres makes it possible to breath the water there. All of these spheres have been made into cities of the coast of the continent.

their weight when fully grown is roughly 400 lbs.

around 8 feet in length when fully grown
Body Tint, Colouring and Marking
Most of the merfolk have a light blue color but some of the population are more or less green or red instead, these are very rare cases thou.
