Dragon

The most powerful and the oldest species on the planet. Only topped by litteral gods on the cosmic scale these might scaled beasts of fire and magic once ruled countless worlds. On Abaddon they mostly exist in stories and the ones to find on the continent are just a shadow of their storied selves.

Anatomy

A dragon is a large lizard-like being with large membranous wings that have the ability to grow to incredible sizes. Most of them are able to breath a devastating breath weapon with elemental attributes from, fire to acid. The walk on four legs to two hind legs and to forelegs, this separates them from their less mythical cousin the Wyvern, which only have hind legs.

Ecology and Habitats

The habitats of specific dragons depends on the type of dragon, Bronze Dragons as an example usually resides closer to the coasts while Green Dragons usually resides in old and deep forests.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Dragons are dangerous beings when threatened or just pure malicious, they are the perfect predator with senses ant mortal would envy. As they grow older they develop blindsight, magic sight and they start out with excellent hearing and eyesight to start with. Many also develop telepathic abilities as they grow old.

Mostly extinct on the continent only a small number of them still exist, and the ones that do are hunted down for their scales and organs to be used in crafting and alchemy.
