Ascension of Mortals
From the Age of Creation to Age of Kaos , Aamrydia has always been a world that has been shaped by the many wars that have raged across the landscapes. From the very beginning of its creation the very foundations of its being have been strengthened and tempered to remain as hard as forged steel. It is those who inhabit this realm that have to be the ones that truly face the changes . From ancient Gods and Primordial elemental battle to the wars just for simple food and survival .
Aamrydia is steeped with ancient secrets , history and things long forgotten. The landscape itself shows the evidence of that. Old ruined cities lay scattered throughout the world , on the surface and below the waters of the numerous lakes , seas and oceans . But that at long rest slumbers now more . In the far reaches of the realms , a darkness is gathering . Waiting and watching these dark forces will find anything and anyone that may do their bidding so they again can either rule or bring the world to total and complete ruin and annihilation . The world of Aamrydia has its beauty as well. Not all histories and creatures in those recorded texts and scrolls . Both light and dark reside in this world and there is ever a balance that must be kept . Where dark and dank grotto may sit below ground and infested with foul creatures waiting to pounce and steal life . A tranquil stream of water , filled with life , may run through a magical glade that has healing and restoration pools along with creatures of overwhelming beauty and goodness. The horizons themselves can set mind to wonder , as numerous snowcapped mountains are viewed side by side with violent infernos of molten rock and blackened landscapes.
Once again the scale is swaying, the balance is trying to shift and throw the world into chaos and destruction. All the races of this world is but a blades reach of their end. Heroes are needed and they are needed now . Not everyone must be born a hero or bread by a nobleman to take up the mantle and fight. From the desperation and strife , Heroes are forged and made. Like a battleaxe needing tempering . History itself has shown this to be true . Whether it be from a time that Dragons tried to take over and rule or just a simple task as ridding a small farming community from a tribe of goblins. Yes Heroes shall be made and honor giver and treasure beyond count . The sands of time are trickling faster and a feeling of change can be felt in the air and things will need to be put in place, forces must be gathered . This is your new home and adventure awaits .
