The Exhibit Hall

No doubt this hall, a winding series of multimedia enabled mini-amphitheaters, is a blur of VR/AR sensations when fully loaded but fortunately for you most of the equipment is still not installed.

Apocrypha Lex Mortis
"The Final Installation of Benedetta Giovicci after her untimely death last year - this fitting testament to her cutting edge work in the simsense field represents the sympathies of the artistic soul for the perceived absence of the other."
The tan and oak painted gallery has been furnished with numerous seats bootstrapped with cables meant for simsense uplinks, while most are still not installed the few that are mirror the user in each segment of the galvanized cable and equipment , the polish almost defiant in its level of reflection. It looks like the installation is in the midst of being taken down.

The Man Who Shouted I At the Heart of the World
"Gavin Fielding has been on the cutting edge of AR artistry since exploding onto the scene in 2068 - his work has pushed the boundaries of the technologically and biologically possible and has given rise to an entire movement of decker-artists who want to bring the freedom of the matrix to the world we inhabit."
The amphitheater is completely nondescript, eerily so, not a single "real" detail can be found on any of the surfaces. Despite the lack of details it is this very feature that tells you instinctively the cost of the invisible sensors and apparatus that make this chamber fully AR ready.

First Breath
"In this work by Al Oha, the Hawaiin wunderkind, he continues to explore the translation of non-human sensations to human comprehension with this series on plant life. Feel what it is to breathe as a plant, live eternal as a tree, or spread microscopically through the soil as a fungus. You will not emerge as you, but as a more holistic entity at one with the world."
The verdant and overgrown chamber is a tropical wonder, the heat and oxidation strike you immediately - the simsense hookups are cleverly hidden in amongst the flowers and plants, with oversized, firmly grown leafs to serve as chairs and beds. With the humidity and moisture you begin to feel like a plant already.

la nuit tombe
"Basarde le Roche is our latest discovery, a decker who refuses to identify himself as an artist. This experience is not one too take lightly, please be advised that if you have any pre-existing conditions, are pregnant or nursing, or are in an at-risk demographic you should avoid this exhibit."
Entry to the room beyond is barred by a long hallway decorated with symbols of various cultures, each with an explanation of its meaning and relevance to death - the small chamber at the end looking much like an air-lock, allowing only a single entrant into the room beyond at a time. Inside you find a circular chamber without edge painted in a black that seems both absorbent and reflective - the dark marred only by a hookup dangling from the center of the room. Two engineers are laboring at one end of the room on an open panel.
You encountered "The Modron Man" by Helmut Schwarzwald, a crudely made imitation of humanity staggering its way through the gardens.   "Are we now the form of our maker"   "You see me now through a mirror darkly"   "Did you not know that we would judge angels? How much more the things of this life"
