At first glance, Rhett appears to be a small and unassuming Kobold although he definitely doesn't dress like one. His blue-gray scales are in stark contrast to his burning red eyes. Rhett was driven from his clan due to his conflicting mannerisms and belief on how to treat other living beings. He sought to make the positive change he wished for the world, and in order to make this happen struck a deal with a powerful silver dragon.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Rhett is short for a Kobold. He has a lean muscular frame which was developed through necessity in order to survive his younger years.

Body Features

Two small horns protrude from the top of his head. He also has distinctive silvery markings across the tips of his blue-gray scales.

Facial Features

Bright red eyes behind large round glasses make Rhett appear much more friendly and approachable than your common Kobold. The glasses came after he left his clan, but has helped him appear less scary to others he encountered on his travels.

Physical quirks

When Rhett becomes overly excited, angry, or frightened small wisps of frost can be seen forming in the air around his mouth.

Apparel & Accessories

Typically Rhett only dresses in common clothes. He does don a breastplate and shield when he knows combat may be coming. The shield he carries is adorned with the crest of Bahamut.

Personal history

Origin: No known immediate family, although he was born into a large clan of Kobolds. He spent the first few years of his life primarily collecting snow and ice to melt into drinking water for his clan. Rhett lacked the physical strength to challenge his position and remained beholden to the whims of his clan for many years.
Rhett often felt like an outcast as he did not share the same evil desires of the rest of his clan. He had to hide his true feelings or face the malicious treatment of others. His saving grace was the idea that someday he would be saved by a good dragon that would whisk him away from his clan. That day never came.
Eventually, Rhett decided that he had to be the one to remove himself from his position. Knowing that he would have no way back, left his clan in exile to find guidance from a powerful dragon who could help him find out who he truly was. After a perilous journey, Rhett finally found a generous patron who took him under his wing and began teaching Rhett about the world and all the people under the sun.
Rhett has been under the care of Rirlan for several years now and has progressed to be a fearsome and willful young Kobold.

Rhett has never had desire to seek out sexual partners. Kobold culture sees sex as a means to an end, where the goal is to increase the size of the clan. He considers sex as something impersonal and only done out of necessity.

Rhett used his knack for manipulating water and ice to become an ice sculptor.

Motivation

Rhett faces a constant internal struggle with who he believes he is supposed to be. He has body dysphoria believing that he was meant to be born a silver dragon. Rhett sought out the patronage of a silver dragon to set him on a path of self discovery, seeking out a way to transform into the vision he holds for himself.
The world should be better, and Rhett has set himself to be the change he wants to see. Under the guidance of his patron, Rhett set off on an adventure to do good deeds and oppose the forces that dare to commit evil acts or harm the innocent.

Rhett is never satisfied with what he has. He always wants more. His desire to collect more and more wealth directly conflicts with his ability to sell his jewelry, keeping the best items for himself.

Rirlan, Ancient Silver Dragon. Rhett entered into a Pact with Rirlan to spread goodwill in exchange for training to eventually become a dragon.
