Chapter 11: The Red Dragons Prize

Players are encouraged to sneak into the ruins to find the diadem. (Steve's looking glass)   Find a dying Orc. It tells the tale of raiding a caravan and finding the crown and other riches. It attracted the Red Dragon who burned the village.   The diadem is nowhere to be found.   As the players leave the red dragon spots them from the peak and launches, its red wings spread wide it launches off its perch.  The heavy flaps of its wings echo off the valley wall. It crosses over the sun temporarily casting the party in shadow as a chill runs down their spine. (Dragon Roar) Romanor can see it is an Adult Red Dragon!   Roll for initiative! The dragon's eye focuses on the gleaming metal of Romanors bracer. Its lust for treasure is irresistible.   Steve casts wish.   Romanor is surrounded by a brilliant white aura shining forth. People who don't look away are temporarily blinded for 1 D20 seconds Con saves of 15. The blinding light begins to flicker. Romanor senses something is wrong. A strong upset feeling in his stomach turns into a tugging feeling towards the dragon. Romanor realizes at this moment that his stollen wish spell might not have been the blessing that he assumed it to be. The cast felt corrupted. Writhing as blue lighting forks out from his body. Romanor falls to his knees arching his back in pain as blood begins to pour from his ears eyes and mouth. Looking at his fingers Romanors hands begin to fragment as his being is slowly sucked towards the portal swirling around the drain in the sky, mixing with the same effect happening to the dragon. Known to be a wise but ruthless leader who brought the dwarves much glory before the fall of the world tree. Legend says that the Dwarf who dons this Diadem will become the leader of the Southern Dwarves.
