Two Elephant Mountain

The Two Elephant Mountain is located in Eastern Meresia in the mountains. it is a natural marvel that shows two elephants like mountains that are looking at each other in a rested position. It is said that the gods created such a structure. Even though this magnificent natural phenomenon looks like two elephants the twin mountains are beginning to fatigue and fracture.
The two elephants overlook a mountain pass that cuts through the mountains. It is the only passage through for miles in any direction so it is a hotspot for travellers and adventurers alike to stop and take in its beauty.
The red marks the spot in which the pass cuts through.

This is also the place where the battles of Elephants Pass too place. It was a ferocious battle against Meresia and Ziian in which Ziian used to hold Eastern Meresia. However, after many battles and bloodshed Meresia won and has held the mountain pass ever since.

Purpose / Function

It is a passage through the mountains allowing travellers and adventurers to get to outlying villages to sell their wares and to adventure. It was a major choak point in the battles against Meresia and Ziian.

Alterations

Till about 300 Years ago the Meresian kings would keep the mountains maintained. However, since the second most recent king, the funding for such a project has stopped due to lack of money.
