A-El, Dream of the Blinded

Created by

A wounded dream, a shattered firmament. A reality torn by ubiquitous divines and fettered minds, A-El is a cosmos of hopeful worlds, each built by a household of dreamers desiring a purpose. Born from an act of paradox and violence, the inhabitants of A-El now seek either to continue that visceral ascension or abandon it, wishing the heal the pathos of their spinning world.   A-El can best be described as a world of myths, dreams and spirits, similar in many ways to the surreal landscapes of real world mythologies and legends. Inspired by a romanticised view of space and the cosmos, predating more grounded modern science. The "mortals" of the setting, and ultimately those who we can most relate with exist in a place known as Ahr: an unfortunate amalgam of numinous outcasts and otherworldly beings, now settled alongside one another in a pseudo-bronze age reality wherein the thoughts and egos of the divines filter through the land, shifting and twisting it.   The bulk of information and storytelling happens on a continent called Suath, home to the Falderic Anreyem, an empire of substantial spiritual and physical import, desperately attempting to remain standing as their infant world-dream begins to attract the attention of impossible spirits and far-off dreamers. The Anreyem is not alone however, and much of Suath's southern lands, swathed in the suffocating tangle of alien jungles and warped savannahs, also face unusual threats, their elder kin rising amongst them, seeking to return the world to a time of dust and slumber. Indeed, Suath is home to many such places, each with a strange collective of liminal spirits, uncertain of how their illusory, whimsical world will change them.
