Satyr

Good Natured

The creation of Satyrs was initiated by greed. During the early years of world creation when the gods ruled and activated heavily with the mortals, one demigod saw an opportunity to impress the god king and maybe accelerate his status among the gods. So he went back to his domain and began coming up with a way to do so. He created a creature, the satyr, as a way to bring joy and happiness and comedy to the gods. So this demigod came back to the god king and presented the satyr to him. The satyr put on an entertaining show that seemed to please the god king and he complimented the demigod in his work, but the god king asked the demigod what he would do the his creations next, the demigod not really thinking, said once they had their use he would get rid of them. This quickly angered the god king and with great powers he discarded the demigod out of his realm never to step foot into it again. And in kindness to the homeless satyr he showed them the lands of the mortals and told them to set out there, and be themselves to bring entertainment to the mortal realm.

From another world

The satyr developed a liking for forested areas. In them they could be free and wild and out of the more civilized eye but that didn’t mean they didn’t like going into towns and cities and having fun because that is what they did and what they were most known for. The satyr were really spread throughout the world so they didn’t have large numbers in one area like most of the other races. When the magic corruption came it didn’t affect the satyrs as much as it did the rest of the world but a large group of them still did try and fight against it, and like the rest weren’t successful so ended up getting transported to another world.

Basic Information

Anatomy

The satyr is a medium sized humanoid with goat like features. They consist of 2 arms 2 legs a head and a tail. Their face resembles a human but can grow ram-like horns out the top of their head. There upper body also resembles a human. There lower body is what more resembles a goat. From the waist down they have fur and at the feet are hooves. Also a very small tail can be seen at the backs of most satyr but it is also know that some are born without one.   Males: There is not much difference between male and female satyrs. Like human males, male satyrs grow facial hair and tend to have more body hair but the one distinct thing is the tufts of fur on their elbows.   Females: Female satyrs share the same features with human females as well as male satyrs just minus the extra hair growth and tufts of fur on the elbows.

Satyrs reproduce like other mammals do and most of the time have 1 baby a year but due to there 150 day pregnant cycle 2-3 babies a year is doable but rare.

Ecology and Habitats

Satyrs can survive in a lot of different climates. They prefer a lot of room and freedom so location of great forests or open plains tend to work. Satyrs also mostly travel alone and quite rarely make communities of themselves. On rare occasions it happens but most just like to move from town to town and travel being free and spreading joy.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Satyrs have a wide variety of eating habits. Of course they need meat and plants and water to live but for the most part you won’t find a satyr that isn’t opposed to trying new things. They are very adventurous eats and like sampling any food they can.

Satyr

Satyrs have a well-earned reputation for their good spirits, gregarious personalities, and love of revels. Most satyrs are driven by simple desires, to see the world and to sample its every pleasure. While their spontaneity and whimsy sometimes put them at odds with more stoic peoples, satyrs rarely let the moodiness of others hinder their own happiness. Life is a blessing from the gods, after all, and the proper response to such a gift, as far as most satyrs are concerned, is to accept it with relish.
