Dedicated to the Cause

The Garleans, are a people who had suffered greatly before finding the means to fight back, in doing so becoming conquerors in their own right. Garleans value advancement and ability, while looking down on those who are happy to sit in stagnation, and its this dogged dedication which has allowed them great success in the world. Some will adventure to seek freedom from the chains of their society, while others wish to protect and show their patriotism through adventure.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Strong and powerful bodies that can be average height or quite tall.  Their most distinctive feature is the gem-like third eye sat in the center of their forehead. The third eye provides superior spatial recognition.  Females tend to be smaller in size than males.

Growth Rate & Stages

Reach maturity at 18 years old and live at an average of 80.

Ecology and Habitats

They are wanderers and can survive even the most inhospitable regions.

Behaviour

Garleans are physically strong and highly intelligent. Many tend to show physical superiority to other races and have been known to have difficulty with magic on their own. Tinkering and creating technology to make magic is very common as a garlean habit. 
They are patriotic within their homeland,and appear prejudice against other races. Thus, many races have a distinct hatred of Garlean until they meet someone for good. 
But this sense of superiority could be a protection as many are wary of other races due to their history of being driven out and treated unfairly by others. Especially when it comes to their lack of innate magic, and generally needing technology to hone it.

History

Eons ago the ancestors of the Garlean were forced to abandon their homes because of massive waterfall in a nearby ocean. They travelled to new land and were rejected due to inability to use magic and slowly driven out to cold and inhospitable regions where they made their own republic.
