Dry Bellow - Kraege
Known for the weapons (pistols) the guards wear, Dry Bellow was founded when a group of explorers came ashore one day. Its proximity to Nighthold was perfect and the area is lush with vegetation. The night they made camp, goblins raided the party and killed half of them. They retreated to their boats and gathered enough people to make a stand against the goblins.
It took many lives, more on the goblin side, to reach an impasse. Walls were erected and only a few raids happen each year now. The guards patrol outside the walls more than inside and a whistle or gunshot will bring any within hearing range to the area.
Life is mostly quiet and the people look forward to seeing what visitors are up to. Often there are events that happen at the Fairground Park. A few merchants have stores, while most put their wares up in Foundersitz Emporium, a crowded marketplace.
Just because it's slow, doesn't stop the occasional pickpocket or the like. Murder is not something that happens often if at all. The last known murder, not by goblins, started with an argument over a man who had been dating both women. They teamed up and stabbed him in his sleep. This was around seven years ago. Mayor - (f) Halfling - Alain Elderberry An adult female halfling. She is adorably short and scrawny, and has amber eyes with light skin. The most notable physical trait of Alain is that she has a well freckled face.
