The Elite Rassalian Guard
The Elite Rassalian Guard are the most prestigious members of the city guard in Rassal. They serve as head guards but are also called upon for military operations to fight off dock raids, mercenary groups and were even called to war during The war of Rassal's Revenge in the second age, 483.
The Elite come across as very intimidating with their military prowess. Many people admire them, but from a distance. They are known for their strict, no-nonsense temper and will not hesitate to put someone in their lawful place.
The regular city guard are much more approachable and are suitable for civillian enquiries.
Structure
The guards go through intense training by the Blademaster of the city and study religiously from The Book of Blades to learn all forms of swordsmanship and combat. They run frequent drills and deal with greater problems that the local guard have no time or resources for, such as bounties, brigands and bandits in the outskirts of town.
Public Agenda
To protect the city of Rassal from unlawful chaos. To keep order and safety within the city and to defend it from harm.
Assets
High quality arms & armour, fine steeds and luxurious guard quarters. The Elite Guards are also permitted to have their own servants who can run messages, fetch equipment or bring food. The guards have their own stables, kept on the other side of town in case a diseased animal affected their stock.
