Tempóju - Rengia's epicenter of trade

Capital of Caldura and home to the largest port in the region.

This article is a stub and may be expanded at a later date!
As the capital city of Caldura and Rengia's epicenter of trade, Tempóju has experienced a large influx of new folks during the last 50 years from numerous realms beyond the rifts, each bringing with them a wealth of skills, trade, and wares to the crowded markets.

Economy

  • Agriculture and trade is stable and thriving thanks to the ships passing through the largest port in the country, and many new trade routes through the rifts.
  • Wealth distribution was awful before The Rupture but is now steadily improving after the threat of outside forces was settled during the Liberation of the Calduran grasslands. A lot of wealth was being spent on defences and repairing from The Rupture but it's now going towards things that matter for the community.
  • Economic strength is improving as a whole with greater trade open and flowing again.
  • Governance

  • Government presence is moderately high in the capital but is most visible in the port areas for security and checking of legal documents.
  • The rule of law is strong and harsh but also fair and no one wants to break it because they will be restricted from using magic.
  • Social services are still stretched thin since the rupture 50 years ago, but there are ample job opportunities for new immigrants looking for work.
  • Foreign relations are improving globally and interplanarly thanks to The Borderwrights Society's work with geopolitical borders.
  • Social Relations

  • Gender, sexual orientation, and different folk species seem to get along well - the trade port is so diverse that no one feels out of place.
  • Species relations have been improving interplanarly with the education of foreign languages.
  • Class relations are still abysmal, and the same goes for age and ableism because they need more infrastrucutre & support to care for these folks, but they are at least working on this (albeit slowly).
  • Cultural Influences

  • Magic use and research is a massive priority and can be seen everywhere you look.
  • The natural ecosystems surrounding the city and its waterways are still healing after the impact of invasive species of flora and fauna from the Rupture.
  • Religious influence is low since the Rupture, as many folks lost faith entirely. Some clang to it, but other new religious groups have now risen as people begin to follow The Ordained.
