King's Orchard Brewery

Crafters of fine wines and the most popular cyder in Melesh, Anvil.

King's Orchard Brewery produces the finest cyder in Melesh, Anvil, and is one of the most popular alcoholic beverages consumed across the entirety of the Jolundrian continent. The brewery is famous for producing King's Orchard Cyder but also makes small batches of strong apple wine, which is more popular among the nobles and upper class citizens of the world.   The huge acres of neat orchards line the banks of a lazy river with perfectly aligned trees that provide an endless harvest of apples that fill the autumn air with a sickly sweet scent.

Alterations

As the trade routes of Melesh have expanded their reach over the years, King's Orchard Cyder is becoming more popular overseas. This lead to the expansion of the brewery to become twice its size in the last decade, and local farmers offering up their land for purchase in order to plant more orchards.

Architecture

The original brick farmhouse still stands, but it's thatched roof is now upgraded to sturdy locally sourced slate tiles. The old barns have been expanded to accommodate the huge brewing vats and machinery. A private bar is located on the west wing of the building to hold social events and tasting days for visiting wealthy merchants and upper class nobles of Melesh. There are five guest rooms just in case a person of high status wishes to stop over before setting off on their journey again (or if they need to sleep off the drink).

History

The brewery has around 400 acres of its own orchards, but also uses apples from other growers in the nearby districts. The locally-famous cyder produced at King's Orchard Brewery is matured in 100-year-old oak vats, which gives the drink its trademark taste.
