The hero born to the guardian’s path finds value in serving others. This often manifests as a loyal bond to an individual or group, or as a fierce devotion to a cause or ideology deemed righteous by the guardian and those they respect and trust. Not only does a guardian train to fight shoulder to shoulder with their allies, but they also seek out ways to further the fight against Izrador and the Night Kings. Sometimes this even involves leading allies in resistance, although to a guardian, this is simply one more act of service.

Crucial Strike

Minimum level of 4

You become better at directing your allies in combat, giving you the following benefits: 0 Your Charisma score increases by 1, to a maximum of 20. 0 During an ally's turn, you can use your reaction to allow that ally to make one weapon attack (without spending an action). They add your proficiency bonus to the attack’s damage roll.

Tactical Direction

Minimum level of 8

You learn to direct your companions in small-unit tactics. When determining initiative order, you can choose to count as having a result of 1 to let each of your allies gain an additional bonus action during their first turn, which each ally can use to perform one of the following actions: Attack using a melee or ranged weapon, Dash, or Disengage.

Warding Presence

Minimum level of 12

You present yourself as the most dangerous threat on the battlefield, keeping enemies from getting to your allies. When a hostile creature starts their turn within 5 feet of you, they halve their speed for the rest of their turn. If they attempt to attack one of your allies within 5 feet of you, they have disadvantage on their roll.

For Victory!

Minimum level of 16

At 16th level, you can inspire your allies to overcome any opposition, giving you the following benefits: 0 Your Charisma score increases by 1, to a maximum of 20. 0 On your turn, you can spend your action to make a DC 15 Charisma check. If you succeed, for 1 minute while allies are within 30 feet of you, they can add your proficiency bonus to their attack rolls and damage rolls. Once you use this feature, you cannot use it again until you complete a long rest.
