Session 1
General Summary
Aboard The Detroit Vacation, the party witnessed a nearby starship crash in the desert of The Oxean after a long days hard work and decided to investigate. The crash may have some important equipment and materials that could be used to better outfit The Detroit Vacation, so Captain Cohan asks anyone able to check out the crash and bring back anything useful. Cohan said he'd drop them off south of the craft, they could head through the canyons, hit the crash site, then rondevu back with the tug north of the crash.
Moving by mostly moonlight, the party was jumped by a bounty hunter in the canyonlands. Apparently, the bounty hunter had been tipped off to their presence by a dwarf back on the tug. The bounty hunter said that if QRL-24 (Kendall's character) gave herself up, her friends wouldn't have to die. QRL-24 ran and was then shot in the back by a high powered rifle. The party stabilized QRL-24 but at the cost of Yuguri (David's character) being downed as well. After taking a few shots the bounty hunter fled. With the battle over, Crass and Clutch (Solomon and Joe's characters) found that the bounty had been put out by Warlock Protections.
They party pressed on, reaching the crash site around sunrise. Overlooking the crash site from a rocky outcropping, the party saw a group of 5 raiders with 2 cars, looking over the wreckage. One of the raiders got jumped by the bounty hunter, stealing one of the raiders cars and causing a fight to breakout among the raiders. The party snuck in for a closer look. The raiders fighting suddenly stopped as one of the starship's engines exploded. The raiders listened for a moment, then ran for their cars and sped away at full speed leaving the "failed lookout" behind. The party then shot the lone raider, stabilized him, then wake him back up with 1 hp to interrogate him. The raider complied after Aggy (Lydia's Character) administered a sedative, mostly telling them that they were all doomed and were about to die.
Shortly into the interrogation another one of the starship's engines explodes, making a louder sound. The starship lunges upward as a massive sandworm tears it's way through the craft, attacking the party. The party made much better rolls than with the bounty hunter, resulting in the sandworm not surviving a single round.
The sandworm vanquished, it's found to be only a baby and that it's most than likely that larger worms are on their way. Grab what parts you can and head to the rondevu point. Among the wreckage they found an information droid (K8-T5), genrades, grenade launcher, two pistols and 240 physical credits.
