43 days after Berlintini II is killed, the Noble's Ministry appoints Raffaello I as emperor. He was already chosen for the role without his knowledge in the days of Alexander I while Alexander was campaigning in the Bootleg Peninsula.
After the empire sat in complete anarchy without an emperor for 43 days, the Noble's Ministry, an appointed group of people in the court, decided to bring forth their unsuspecting candidate. They found Raffaello I as an appealing replacement for Alexander I while he was campaigning in the Bootleg Peninsula and left the empire in the hands of his right puppy, I mean man, Leonardo. One of the reasons why Raffaello I was appointed was because he was a capable man who could do very complicated tasks. When Raffaello was appointed, he didn't know the ropes yet and this made him the perfect puppet for the Noble's Ministry which wanted to control the empire. On the day of appointment, Raffaello was walking to work when he was grabbed and rushed to the palace by a few armed men who were on the Noble's Ministry's payroll. The Noble's Ministry told him of his current situation at the palace, and due the fact that he got an offer he couldn't refuse, he agreed to do as they said and he was declared as the new emperor.
