Bashur
The capital of the Bashurian kingdom with around 500,000 inhabitants in the mid to late 2nd century A.B.
Demographics
Most of the population is Bashurian, but there are some minorities in the city as well that arrived over the millennia. Some south Hu-Balaiins which wound up forming smaller clans, Berini soldiers that that stayed, merchants from all around the Hu-Balai,etc.. The city's population is mostly made up of farmers, merchants, artisans as well as the upper class and aristocracy of the kingdom.
The clans are in fact large groups or families of affiliated people. Certain clans have more control of the upper class, some of the nobility, certain trades and crafts or even growing certain crops. Some are just loose affiliations which grant some groups some financial aid or protection from bulling or competition while others are like downright street gangs or mafias wheras some are just name or communities. For example, in the 3rd century the large Ashawa clan held most of the upper class's power because it was most of the upper class and the royal dynasty but the Khazai clan held a lot military power since a number of generals were Khazais.
Government
The city has a mayor who answers to the king/queen.
Defences
in the 1st century A.B there was a suburban periphery wall with square halftowers defending the suburbs, a more fortified outer wall with square towers to defend the outer city, a much more fortified middle wall with square towers to defend the middle city, an even more fortified wall with round towers to defend the upper city. The lower city which is the northern part of the city by sea is surrounded by massive walls with square towers. The citadel has the most fortified walls after the palace and has many round towers. The royal palace is located next to the citadel and above it and has the most fortified walls of all. The palace also has a fortified corridor leading to harbor.
Industry & Trade
The jobs and the professions in the city are very diverse. The trading industry is very strong.

Geography
The city is built on a very large hill that goes into the sea. The outer and middle cities are on the southern side of the hill and the lower city is on the northern side along with the harbor. The upper city,the citadel and the palace are on the top of the hill. The palace is adjacent to both the upper and lower cities as well as the citadel which is to it's south.
There is a small river that used to run from the top of the hill into the sea but was diverted underground into a massive cistern to store water for the city.
Natural Resources
Wood from forests, fish from the sea, water from springs, metals from nearby metal deposits and from mines and trade, various other goods from trade.
