Article Management "Order By" doesn't work

I'm trying to sort 120 articles in a category alphabetically. I've tried to use the following systems, both of which are not ideal:

  • The "Order by" button in the top right has an "Alphabetically (A-Z)" option, but upon clicking, it only sorts for 1 second, then everything immediately snaps back to its original order. Even after I was able to get the sorting to work, the Article Management screen shows that all the articles (at least the 50 it can display) are properly alphabetized, but the Article Tree and the World Page only alphabetized the first 20 articles.
  • I also tried ordering the articles manually by dragging them into alphabetical order. The following were my observations.
  • Dragging them is very slow and laggy.
  • More than 50% of the time, they just snap back to their original order after moving them. I have to drag them 2 or 3 times to get them to stay.
  • The Article Management screen only displays the top 50 articles, so I'd have to use the Article Tree for the others, which suffers the same issues mentioned before, and does not have an "Order by" button as far as I can see.

If there's a way the World Anvil Team can fix the "Order by" system, and speed up performance on the Article Tree and Article Management screen, that would be greatly appreciated. I hope this report helps to improve World Anvil to be easier and better to use for everyone. Thank you.

Steps to Reproduce

Step 1: Have more than 20 articles in a category.

Step 2: Press the "Order by" button and select "Alphabetical (A-Z)." It's also possible none of the other ordering systems work too, but I hadn't checked those ones.

Step 3: Observe the Article Management screen, the Article Tree, and World Page to see the results.

The system for categories does not allow for a single category to have so many articles under it. The suggested amount is up to 40-50, not 120. I would recommend splitting your category to more categories and sorting your articles in this way! Thank you for your understanding
