I received a comment from a user on the Vampire the Dark Ages Sheet that Disciplines which are vampire powers are not saving. After further exploring this is happening on many of my sheets. There has been no edit or sheet change in sheet design in a very long time. After further deep diving no input field saves after a certain position in the sheet. The last time this popped up was November 2020 and it was determined the max_input_vars had been exceeded. We were at 950 variables in a sheet and growing. Dimi set the max_input_vars at 3000 variables (on 11/18/2020) and the sheet would not have exceeded this. I can only guess this number has been changed.
NA
After further review there may have been a similar comment on this in December but I can not find an associated notification for this. So this could have been a bug for some months.
I had an unexplainable problem of not saving in the 2020 sheet. But what was not saving was the [ ] visible button on the sidebar, I guess I just reached the threshold of the possible number of fields with that sheet.
As this bug affects a dozen sheets I have updated all sheets with a notification and disabled save so that users will not loose half of their data.
has this issue be fixed? My players are concerened about updating sheets for our campaign and losing information?
Using the COD: Mortals sheet and it is not saving any changes I make whether all at once or making one change at a time and saving.
Just to confirm. I am the creator of the sheets and I have tested this bug and you will loose all data past a certain point in the sheet. So I have disabled the ability to save, to prevent the loss of data. I have posted the bug here and reported this bug directly. I have not received any feedback or information. I will make another attempt. Apologies for this.
We are now arriving at 3 months with these sheets broken. This bug wipes out the use of ...
so... just curious here... WHAT exactly is the recommended recourse here? Just NOT make characters? or use another process? Make in PDF form and somehow save that to a page? Im open to temp and permenant ideas here as it makes little sense to Me to continue a service that neither works nor chooses to address issues this long.
Dimitris: php.ini -> max_input_vars=3000 or something and the problem is solved. This worked before, and I guess when migrating to cloud servers for scaling this got lost.
It should be fixed now. :)
This is fixed in my test sheet. Variable 1001 and 2000 have both saved. This is fantastic. I will be digging into the actuals sheets here and report back.
Tested the following system sheets
\o/ Then the cyberpunk sheets will also be fully functional again.
