Can't close event edit window in TImelines

When in the timeline, and I go to edit an event, I can't close it after I've finished editing. I can see where the edit is supposed to be when I collapse the sidebar all the way, but the menu bar at the top of the screen blocks access to it. I can work around it by leaving and coming back to timelines fresh, but it gets annoying to do it every time because the window blocks half the timeline, so I can't see and select new events to edit.

Steps to Reproduce

Once you have an event on the timeline. Have the timeline open, click on the event to edit. The side edit panel well open, but the close button isn't accessible.
