Custom Article Templates not Working with new creator

When creating an article through the "+" sign on the new article viewer, or throught he Alt+N creator, custom templates are completely cleared. I tried using my "Multi-Edition Psionic Power" template, which is a spell template that prefills a lot of edition-specific formatting on the "Sidebar: Content Panel Bottom" section. When viewing the article, it is changed to a generic Spell and has no information at all whether in the new editor or the old editor. I can apply the template in the old editor, but that doesn't restore the information, forcing me to have the custom template open for making any new articles to copy/paste the information in.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a new article using any custom template that has information in it.
  2. View the article in the new or old editor.

Any article with custom templates; for my world this includes any spell, psionic power, character, deity/warlock patron, class/kit for AD&D 2e, monsters, ethnicities, creature templates for D&D 3.5/5e, playable races, or planets/species/deities for Starfinder.

This is happening with the custom templates I have made. Those custom templates for me are used in game and are preventing using World Anvil fully for RPG gaming.

This also impacts my custom templates for my Hoist the Colors world that I'm using for game design and support for my novels.

This is happening in "Star Wars: Shards", where I am Owner and KW is Co-Owner. I can go to Dashboard and click on the "Flimsicard" custom template for Documents.   My expectation is that I'll get commented-out instructions in the top of the Sidebar as to what original field has been repurposed how, and then I can fill them out to get something like

  Alas, my experience instead is that I get the same result as if I had clicked to make a generic Document. This stubby thing was created using the "Flimsicard" custom template button rather than the "Document" button. It has no

/* Commented out text */

anywhere. It does not turn the Historical Details: Background input box into a sidebar Case File.   We use these so that any interested player and the GM can easily keep track of what the Players think they know, and what worries their characters. If we all have to learn how to code in order to make these in-game cards, that is not going to happen -- it makes each small page into too much of a chore. I'm really not sure how to work around this.   Edited to add: I have no idea why this time, "noparse" turned its contents into Gigantic Text. Sorry about that! It did not do that over on the "keyboard shortcuts for formatting" bug.

I'm having the same issue with a custom template. Creating a new article from a template puts none of the templates main text in the article.
