Note the embedded webp image to show the erratic behavior. I will describe the steps as the screen recording plays.

  • Start on line 1
  • Scroll down to line 25
  • Touch the end of line 25
  • You are now moved to line 18ish, yet the cursor does not appear to be focused.
  • Touch line 18 to try and gain the cursor
  • You are moved to line 8-ish, yet the cursor is not focused.
  • Try to touch line 8
  • You are moved to line 1ish, yet the cursor is not focused.
  • This is the effect when writing anywhere with Euclid on mobile. Global posts, articles, timelines,   Also included a link to an article block with this image in case it does not load correctly.

Any type of interaction with the editor like using a mention, inserts the mention yet send you away from the line you are one. You can usually place the cursor at the end of a line of pure text without the jump. But try to place the cursor on an empty line and you jump.

Sadly I have to never switch my worlds or article from the Legacy editor because they can not be switched back. In the article list there is even the choice for the Old WYSIWYG editor (which caused no end of grief) yet the legacy editor which caused no problems and functions fantastic on mobile is no longer a choice.
