I encountered an issue that I skimmed the internet and FAQs for without results, then asked SoulLink on the official Discord but they came to the conclusion as well that they have no idea how the bug couldn´t even come into existence, therefore reccommended a bug report: I am currently working on a world titled "The-Realm". I priorly worked years agon on another world titled "The-Circle-of-Wildemount". Work on the latter world has ended a while ago. I realized that some categories in the World View of "The-Realm" did not display the expanding Table of Contents (right under the category name), and couldn´t find a reason for it: Then I clicked the "Open Category Page" button and realized that a number of categories are linking to category pages in "The-Circle-of-Wildemount", and non-existing categories at that that have been deleted a long time ago - instead of the correct ones in "The-Realm". There seems to be no option to "reset" the linking so I am stuck in that state. The following things have been attempted to no avail to fix the bug:
Unknown how the bug original came to happen. For the reproduction of the display of the incorrect category linking, see as follows: 1. Open World View of "The-Realm" tied to the account this bug report is made from. 2. Click on the "Codex" category. 3. Click on the "Organizations & Companies" category. 4. Click on the "Open Category Page" button of "Joint Ventures". It will correctly link into the same world "The-Realm". 5. Click on the "Open Category Page" button of "Cults & Sects", "Faculties", "Stateless Organizations", ... , "Syndicates". They will all link to the incorrect "The-Circle-of-Wildemount" world as seen in their URL, including a mismatch between the category name and the link-object name in the URL (i.e. "Stateless Organizations" and "The-Services").
Additional Insight: I suspect that the bug has something to do with categories in a world being named exactly the same as in a world that already exists under the same account. I am fairly sure (not 100%) that, for example, there was a category named "Cults & Sects" in the "The-Circle-of-Wildemount" world. Which does not exist there anymore now. Same for the other categories.
Additional Insight II: A manual and extremely tiresome fix is to rename the bugged category to a dump, create a new category with the intended a name, then move every single sub-category and article into that new category. The new category will not suffer the same issue and will instead - so far - link to the correct category-page.
I decided to go the tiresome route and fix it all from hand, as I want everything in order before the start of the next campaign - and I don´t know when someone has the ressources to care for this ticket. Anyhow, maybe it pointed at an unknown issue. Unfortunately, I can´t completely clarify how to replicate it. In case of dou
Hey, sorry for the delay in replying. I would like to take a look at this, but from your latest comment I'm assuming that there is no category with the buggy behavior anymore hence I cannot test to see what could be causing it. I will still take a look, but this is indeed strange and I can think of no reason it would happen, having categories with the same name in multiple worlds should not cause this.
Hey there, I am closing this report since there has been no response in more than 7 days. Please feel free to respond here with any updates so we can continue investigating!
