The Alchemists’ Council is our closed beta testers group! Before the release of any of our features, we make sure to beta test them with the Alchemists’ Council help. As an Alchemist you’ll get access to new features before anyone else, and help in their development, to make sure they’re doing what you want them to. This is a really important role as you'll be helping us make our features the best they can be for the whole community!
If you'd like to join the Alchemists’ Council, follow these steps:
- Join our Discord server if you haven't already. For help on how to sync your World Anvil account and discord check out this guide.
- On World Anvil, click your circular profile picture at the top right.
- Click Features to open the features configuration page.

- At the bottom of that page you can find the "World Anvil Alchemists Council" section.
- Click the red "Alchemist Features are Disabled" button.
- You’ll be logged out of your account, but when you log back in, you'll be an Alchemist!
As a Grandmaster, besides the development channels on Discord, you can now see the alchemist channel as well! It is under the "World Anvil Development" category with the name #alchemist. Note that, for some features, we might hand-pick a few users rather than having a general test round in order to have a more focused group. Being an Alchemist doesn't guarantee you'll have access to every single beta feature.
Expect pings from time to time in the Alchemist channel, and remember to give your feedback, too! We always appreciate it and take it into account.
