- If you're using the WYSIWYG editor, find the link icon in the toolbar.
- Simply paste the URL in the pop-up and click "Insert"
- If you want to make the URL open in a new tab, check the box.
Link to external content with BBCode
If you're using the Euclid BBCode editor, use the [url]...[/url] tag, like in this example:
[url:https://worldanvil.com]Click me to go to the link[/url]
[url:https://worldanvil.com|tab]Click me to go to the link on a new tab[/url]
Advanced use: open in parent frame
There is another parameter, |parent, for users with advanced technical skills that want to use iframes with the world. Setting this parameter, like the following example, will set the target attribute of the link to _parent (if you don't know what any of that that means, you don't need to worry about it).
[url:https://worldanvil.com|parent]Click me to go to the page in the parent frame (no effect here)[/url]
