Articles on World Anvil hold the fundamentals of your worldbuilding—think of them as Wikipedia articles for your world. There are different kinds of article “templates”, each with different prompts (which are all optional) and, in some cases, specific features.
Here’s how to create a new article:
- Click the Dashboard option in the left sidebar.
- In the middle of the dashboard, you’ll see a button grid with all templates available to you. Click the one that best fits the article you have in mind.
- On the new screen, type the title of the article—and you’re done! The auto-save will trigger every time you type to make sure you don’t lose your work.
- To view the article, click the “View” button at the top right.
