The group finds themselves in the main entrance to some ancient base or government building that was buried long ago. Upon exploring the underground base, the group came across a medical/guard construct named Ami who decided to grant Thadeus and the others access to the facility. Ami has memory issues that it hopes will be repaired once the facility becomes powered up. A dryad named, Pinch, charmed Darcie, Swift, and Hop and held a picnic with them in an underground greenhouse. In the communication center, the force of nature known as Whisper, emerged and formed a connection between Thadeus and the communication equipment. Whisper appeared as a young finely dressed noble desert nomad. It sent the following message through the communication equipment to unknown individual(s). The message was “A Breach has occurred. IT has breached the barrier. One fragment is destroyed. The others must be secured and protected” At the same time, Darcie moved with incredible speed past Thadeus and seemed to pull a person from thin air in the room. Darcie flung the individual to the ground and shouts something in Celestial. She awakens as if from a trance and is confused by what just happened. The individual on the ground identifies themselves as Dr. G an SCP Foundations technician. He tells Darcie that she does not know what she has done. He does not know how she got the codes but they are correct so he must comply before his memory fades. He cancels the trace and provides Hop with control authorization to the facility......
Each of you has received a summons from the Order of Truth. The Order is one of the most powerful and influential organizations in the Steadfast and Beyond. A summons from them is something that is not refused lightly. A person does not need notice or more trouble in times like these. You can barely feed yourself and those you care about in a world that does not seem to care about suffering. Fortunes and status can be achieved when working with the Order of Truth. But death and worse is more common.
The Ninth World is built on the bones of eight previous civilizations, and in particular, the last four. Reach into the dust, and you’ll find that each particle has been worked, manufactured, or grown, and then ground back into drit—a fine, artificial soil—by the relentless power of time. Look to the horizon—is that a mountain or part of an impossible monument to the forgotten emperor of a lost people? Feel that subtle vibration beneath your feet and know that ancient engines—vast machines the size of kingdoms—still operate in the bowels of the earth.
