-Foraminis exists as a city contained within a demi-plane with Shadowfell like characteristics.
-A group of magic users have been opening portals to the city to further their magical power and raid its citizens.
-Beyond the borders of the city is the land of the lost containing many dangers and some necessities, a common punishment for severe crimes is to be exiled there.
-The Theocracy (worshiping Wee Jas) that runs Foraminis is offering gold and magic items to any group that can put a stop to the invaders.
-Foraminis is a very vertically oriented city. Buildings are often stacked on top of each other and overtime this created the Undercity where light no longer reaches and many criminals hide.
-Strange magics permeate the city and odd, sometimes dangerous, occurrences happen every day.
